How To Play Chuck Berry Style Rhythm Guitar
We will start by learning the most important chord progression in Rock N Roll, the 12 bar blues. The 12 Bar Blues is used in hundreds of Rock N Roll songs so this on its own will open the door to loads of classic Rock N Roll songs. Once we have the foundation in place we will explore some classic Chuck Berry fills to make your rhythm playing more authentic and really shine.

How To Play Chuck Berry Style Lead Guitar
Like most guitar players Chuck Berry favours Pentatonic scales so this is where we will start our journey. We will look at mixing Major and Minor pentatonic scales together to create the unique Rock N Roll sound. We will then explore Chuck Berry’s signature techniques such as his use of double stops, choke bends and intervallic playing.

How To Play Classic Chuck Berry Songs
This is where we put everything we have learnt so far in to practice. We will explore how Chuck Berry uses all the techniques covered so far in his compositions. You will not only learn a selection of classic Chuck Berry songs but more importantly you will understand how they are composed and the techniques they contain.

What Level is the Masterclass Suitable For?
This Masterclass is suitable for students with a couple of years playing experience. Students should have a grasp of open power chords and basic Minor Pentatoinc scales.
Do I Need to Bring My Own Amp?
All you need to bring is your guitar, we will supply amplification.
